PC Med Center was established in 2005 by four lifetime friends.  Prior to establishing PC Med Center, two of the founders were working part time during college as computer consultants to help pay for school.  Working strictly off of word of wouth, PC Med Center began by operating the business out of a basement and only offering onsite house call services.  After about 6 months of operating out of a basement and only offering housecalls, business grew so fast it was evident that a retail location was required.  After about 2 months of searching, the ideal location was found, but unfortunately it was not in the proper condition to run a business out of, major rennovations were needed from the ground up.  Calling on help from their friends and family, everyone involved worked 18 hour days to completely rennovate the storefront.  Everything was done by hand, from refinishing the floors, to installing drywall, to painting, to updating all of electrical and data wiring, and even building the front desk from scratch.

Once the store was completed every bit of signage and marketing was done in-house.  To gain business they relied on word of mouth from their existing loyal customer base, some traditional marketing (newspaper and phonebook advertisements), as well as online ads, and some non-traditional marketing as well.  Now, word of mouth is PC Med Center's best marketing tool.  The loyal customer base is really dedicated telling their friends and family about PC Med Center and helping the company grow.
